I play the part of Private saury, who was the scruples of mankind Gar, which means the only people who could see me was the sense of hearing, although earth Gar could hear me. The other cast members were non allowed to point out the fact that Im there, otherwise they would ruin the fraction of the play. My character was frantic, he would change emotions and facial expressions throughout the play. Because I was Private Gar I was always moving, I couldnt be still. The purpose of my character was to give the audience an brain wave into what is going on in the play, as Public Gar and S.B dont communicate very well. Through my actions onstage you would be able to tell that I was of a high status compared to others.
The play begins with all the characters onstage in a flurryau. During this tableau I am sitting on the kitchen table holding my rosary beards. We therefore go onto saying the material rosary. Because my character has no respect for anything he would be distracting the audience with different facial expressions I would act surprise at different parts of the rosary and would be sarcastically surprised during the end of the prayer. This gives the audience an insight on what my character was standardised before I speak. I would be grinning a lot during the prayer, at times my mouth would be wide of the mark open.
I would raise my eyebrows at times to show terror at some of the things being said in the prayer.
The eldest time the audience really sees my facial expression is when Public Gar finishes speaking with S.B. In this scene Im conf apply, so on my line What sort of stupid turf are you? … I would have my forehead scrunched up. This gives the audience a clue to my emotional state. My mouth was wide opened with surprise as I am surprised that Public couldnt remember how many coils of barbed wire came in. I then loosened the tightness of my face and changed into a state and used appropriate facial expressions to show that Im not worrying anymore.
