Narrative

A National Disaster
My heart started to beat faster as the cheering died down and silence filled the air. I stood there squeezing every muscle in my body and flavor down at my feet waiting for the euphony to start so I could count “five, six, seven eight.” This was our first national rival and we all anticipated this moment. However, the music wasn’t starting. I tincture to my left, declareing my head down, and I see my captain, Alex, she has a conglomerate look on her face. I could tell there was termination to be a problem. After what seemed like eternity a voice came on the loud speaker, which said, “Alta Vista, you can relax. We are having whatsoever technical difficulties with the music. You may leave the stage.” My heart dropped.
We went backstage and were told we would go on at the end of the set. We began to relax, soon enough trying to keep our energy up. I talked to my teammates to try and help settle the nerves. We sit off stage for about a second, relieved that we had to a greater extent time before we went back on stage. Once again, a voice came on the loud speaker to announce the bordering team, “Please welcome back to the stage Alta Vista.” We looked at to each one other in shock; we were non supposed to carry out until later. The stage director pushed us to the front and told us to go with it.

We ran back on stage frazzled and confused. We set our formation and erst again tightened every muscle in out bodies and looked down, awaiting the music to start.
