Prejudice has played its role in American history. It has even separated races as wholes due to the hue of cardinals pigment. I would like to think that racism and colorism is non apparent in our nation today just as others, but to the contrary it is very evident. One showed a lighter-skinned version of the family and the other a darker-skinned version. Unconsciously the general public was inclined to support the lighter-skinned version of the Obamas over the darker-skinned one.
