Many peck think women be sonant and weak and women cant do things well. Some people even think that women belong to men and women cant live without men. In the past, women were silent though they thought they are more independent than men. Nowadays, women are beginning to be themselves and manifest their independence
In the story Our Friend Judith, Judiths independence is apparent. This is a binary opposition story. The title used the words our associate sort of of my friend. It shows that Judith is out of her friends theme because she is single(a), whereas her friends are married.

It is characteristic of Judith that the word spinster, used of her, provoked intrigue speculation about other people. There are my aunts for precedent: aged seventy-odd, both unmarried, one an ex-missionary from China, one a retired matron of a famous London hospital. These two ladies live together nether the shadow of the cathedral in a country town.
