An event in the film About A Boy directed by Chris and Paul Weitz that surprised me was when volition played by Hugh Grants, went up on story to coiffe with Marcus played by Nicholas Hoult. Before the relationship mingled with these dickens boys started to develop, entrust didnt care nearly anything. Simply he was a care-free and self indulged man who didnt care most anything in the world but himself. But this slowly changed as the relationship deepened and lead to result going up on stage to sing with Marcus.
This film is intimately two boys; Will and Marcus. Will is a 38 family old boy who has everything he wants, acts like a kid and lives a bread and butter of luxury whereas Marcus is an actual boy in terms of age, he is 12 years old, but he is a weeny socially inept and awkward, not fitting very easy at school. Will going up on stage to sing with Marcus surprised me because before the totally relationship between Marcus and Will happened, Will used to care about nothing, suddenly nothing but himself. Even the audience realises this when he says Me. I didnt mean anything, about anything, to anyone.
But once Marcus and Wills relationship grew and got stronger, this changes. Will actually learns to care about things other than himself and he learns that his life isnt all about him like the Will Show.
When Marcuss mum, Fiona got depressed again, Marcus was scared that she whitethorn try and self-annihilation herself again so he makes the end to sing for her. He decides that he will sing at the school rock concert in front of the whole school. When Will hears about this, he refers this as social suicide and tries to grasp him. The fact that Will actually tried to stop Marcus was the surprising part.
