317 students attend Meadow Lane, which is located in the Northwest corner of Olathe.
The school feeds into Prairie Trail Middle School and Olathe Northwest High School. According

otherwise ethnicity (mostly Muslim). There is a low percentage, 2.84%, of Title I students.

Average class size of 22 students is an increase from juvenile years due to reduced school
budgets causing fewer classrooms per marking level. Kindergarten through 5th grade classrooms are
located in a pods with common areas to allow for team teaching and a maven of community within
grade levels. This school also has an early childishness program comprised of special needs students
and peer models.
Class periods are typically 50 minutes per subject but teachers have control of their own
classroom schedule as needed.
Meadow Lane uses a daily schedule as opposed to block
scheduling. from each one classroom and specials teacher has additional duties that may include recess,
sunup drop-off, afternoon pick-up, walkers and bus responsibility. There is additional stave for lunchroom
duty allowing each teacher to have lunch with their team.
Besides classroom teachers there are approximately 25 classified (non-certified) staff that
consists of para-professionals, instructional aides, computer lab instructor, a receptionist, general
