Eleanor was a woman with great sensitivity to the civil rights of all creeds, races, and nations. She travelled the country independently, visited coal miners and factory workers, wrote newspaper columns and opinion pieces, visited soldiers overseas during World War II, and advocated for the poor. I believe she tendingd more about others then about herself.
irrespective of her role as First Lady, I think shed still have been the great person she was! She was a confirmative wife to my father, President Roosevelt. Whether she was holding a press throng speaking of political issues or motivating the President during his split second term while he was partially paralyzed, she always showed her inscription and love to him.
